Definitions

Capacity data is only comparable when the underlying milestone matches.

Connected: Electrically linked to the power system; may or may not equal commercial-operation timing in every dataset.
Mechanically installed: Turbine erection is complete, but grid connection or commercial operation may follow later.
Under construction: Physical project delivery has begun under the source’s criteria; it is not yet operating capacity.
Pipeline: A collection of potential projects at multiple maturity levels. It should never be added to the operating fleet.
Forecast: An expected future outcome based on a stated methodology, not a project commitment.
